It was only a matter of time before my Northern gents would lose patience and start sending me smelly socks instead of beautiful bouquets! [dont you dare!!!] so I made an extra effort to tour Manchester this month. I ended up going twice in 2 weeks!

Midlands Mayhem
I've also finally decided to make a trip to Birmingham in March [9th and 10th]. I'd been promising my midlands gents I would add Birmingham to my tours list a couple of years back, but had never got round to doing it. I'd also been meaning to check out a restaurant I'd heard about, so in a way, I'm killing 2 birds with one stone. My work phone has been switched off for a few days as I am taking care of a loved one. I've not had time to check the missed calls and voicemails. Sorry xx. I am at the hospital daily, from morning 'til evening, so escorting and other work has taken the back seat for the past week. I hope to be back and available in the first week of February. It's not been easy watching a loved one in so much pain, but things are improving at a remarkable pace and hope to have loved one back home soon.
At times like this, you realise just how important family is. The way my siblings rallied around was amazing. Everyone took time off work. It doesn't matter where in the country [or world] they were. We were by loved one's side before the surgery took place, and have been by their side daily, waiting in the visitors area and taking turns, in 2's.
The nurses have been amazing. Rather than just a box of chocs for the entire team, we hope to reward them individually. My friends have been there for me too. Even those who are away on holiday at the moment made an effort to call me daily. How lucky am I to have friends who care so much?
I am forever grateful to those of you I confided in. Your kind words and support meant a great deal to me. Very much appreciated xx
