Indian Santa and a photo of my baubles [ahem!]

I want to thank all the well wishers who showed such concern. Your emails, messages, cards and flowers meant a great deal to me. Made me smile on days when I could barely move. Thank you from the bottom of my heart gentlemen. Each and every one of you xxx [I'm filling up tommyyyyy]

I'm well on the road to recovery. Diagnosis was as expected. Protruding/bulging disc. 8 consecutive days of spine traction to ensue. I had this treatment last year, but the treatments were spread out over several weeks. Apparently grouping the treatments in this manner may be more beneficial in circumstances such as mine.  It helps that the physiotherapist is yummy. Yes. I will try to behave!

I want to stick my tongue out to those who scolded me for putting myself in such a situation in the first place. I will be more careful in the future. I promise.

I have the MRI on new years Eve. I will be sure to take lots of chocolates for the hospital staff who will be working while most people will be partying.

What a week!

Being a lady [ahem], I wont go into graphic details but lets just say I've been making up for lost time.

It started with a kiss...

I've been reflecting back on the year. It's been a pretty amazing year. I achieved more than I had expected. Some big decisions were made, goals were reached [new ones already in place for next year], and much more. All in all, 2011 has been a wonderful year.

Party time

Incalls have been a little tricky due to the holidays, so I've been busy with outcalls.
The past couple of weeks have consisted of intimate little Christmas parties in hotels.
Nothing quite like seeing the appreciation on a gentleman's face when I turn up bearing food and drink. Sharing a bottle of Shloer, and nibbling on samosas [home made... courtesy of the domestic goddess Indian Delight Jasmin] after working up an appetite is the perfect way to wind down.

My Puppies aren't just for Christmas...

Nor are these baubles just for trees!
They hang very well don't they? And NO, you are STILL not allowed to try and hang your coat on my nipples! Hmmph!!!

Boobie baubles?

Oh no he didn't! [Oh yes he did!!!]

A lovely gentleman called me last week and asked if I'd like to go to a panto with him. "I would be delighted to accompany you" I interrupted before he could finish the sentence [how rude am I?]
I'm quite excited about this. Would you believe I have not been to a pantomime in several years? Can't wait! It will be a lovely way to end a near perfect year.

Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't waaaiiiittttt!!!

Jingle bells - Indian style

This has got to be the cutest baby video ever!

If that doesn't make you smile, you really are a very grumpy person!

To those who celebrate Christmas - Hope you are surrounded by loved ones and have the best Christmas ever.

To those who don't celebrate Christmas - Enjoy the time off work :)

Love and kisses

Power cut, Hammer time, and Boobs

Are you afraid of the dark?

I checked the time. Its only 2am. Great! I'd woken up in pain again.

Tossing and turning for a while. Eventually gave up trying to get back to sleep.

I reach for the laptop...

Checked emails and decided to reply to one. Just as I'm about to send, I lose wifi connection. Great!
Gave up after trying to reconnect after several failed attempts.

While still lying in bed, I push the curtain back. It was strangely dark. Yes I know one can expect it to be dark at that hour, but this was pitch black.  I sat up and peered out of the window. What had happened to the street lamps? No signs of light coming from any of the houses in the street.
I switch on my bedside lamp. No response. Oh oh! Power cut!!!

I lit a couple of candles, then browsed for a number on my phone to report the problem.
The automated message said they were aware of this problem that was affecting several parts of East London, and that the power cut was due to a fault on the underground. Electricity finally came on at 5am. I fell asleep for half an hour only to be woken by the pain again.

Hammer time!

So I decided it was time to pay the Doctor a visit.
8.15am I'm in the waiting room. My ticket says '30'. I thought I'd be the first in queue considering the doctors don't come in until 9.30am!!!

So ticket in hand, I scour the waiting room for a seat. I sit next to a lady who looked like she was in a lot of pain. "Are you ok?" I asked her.
And that was the start of a long and informative chat. She told me how she had moved to the UK 20 years ago as a young bride, that she'd been widowed for several years, how difficult it was raising 4 children on her own [she has no family in this country], how she was betrayed by someone she had met a few years ago etc, etc. By the time it was her turn to see her doctor, we had exchanged numbers and promised to stay in touch. She even hugged and kissed me on the cheek when she left. Nice lady!

New Doc just joined the practice. I wasn't sure what to expect. She did all the checks, asked lots of questions, looked at the medical history, hmmm'd and ahhhh'd while reading the records, got me to lie on the couch and did the usual tests.
Took us both by surprise when I nearly kicked her in the face when she used the reflex hammer on my left knee.
"Nothing wrong with this leg" she grinned.

The other leg, the one that had landed me on the Doctor's couch once again, was not so responsive.  Sciatica is back in full swing. Oh joy!
So she prescribed me some more narcotics, faxed off a referral for an MRI scan, and gave me some forms to fill out and hand over to the local hospital for another course of Traction therapy [don't you just love having your spine stretched?].
I've decided I like this new Doctor. She's thorough. Makes a nice change!!!

Ever wondered how Boobs got their name?

Well now you know!

Have a great weekend.
